(Summary description)Conductive rubber buttons are the process of evenly distributing conductive particles such as silver plated glass, silver plated aluminum, and silver in silicone rubber. Conductive particles achieve good conductivity through pressure contact. However, if you use it for a long time, the key will fail. Replacing a new keyboard is both expensive and uneconomical. If the following methods can be tried for repair, it can not only solve urgent problems but also save unnecessary expenses.
1. Cleaning method
Wipe off the ineffective conductive rubber buttons with anhydrous alcohol. If not, as conductive rubber has a certain thickness, it can be gently wiped several times with fine sandpaper, while carefully wiping the contact between the circuit board surface and the button with rubber.
2. Heat treatment method
Invert the conductive layer and bake it on an electric heater or bright incandescent lamp for a few minutes until it turns white. For conductive rubber buttons with less severe aging, the rubber can also be soaked in boiling water for a few minutes.
3. Conductive adhesive method
The main components of conductive adhesive are resin adhesive and conductive particles, which are powder particles of conductive materials such as gold, silver, copper, iron, aluminum, zinc, tin, graphite, etc. Apply conductive adhesive to the conductive rubber button, and after natural drying, conductive particles will adhere to the conductive rubber, achieving excellent results. The disadvantage of conductive adhesive is that as the buttons wear during use, the conductive film will fall off, causing a short circuit in the buttons.
4. Cutting
Turn on the electrical appliance, remove the key rubber blade, and then remove a new razor blade, scraping a thin layer off the conductive rubber button contact.
5. Aluminum foil method
Cut aluminum foil, tin foil, and other metal parts into button sizes and directly attach them to the failed conductive rubber buttons, or use commonly used aluminum foil tape for plumbing equipment.
6. Application method
Find a 4B or even 6B pencil and rub it a few times on the conductive rubber of the faulty button. Easy to operate and requires minimal materials. The disadvantage is that it is not durable, and pencil powder will still fall off after being used for a long time. If it falls on the circuit board, it may cause other troubles. Of course, you can also paste the powder of the motor brush.
7. Wire method
Take out a single wire from multiple strands of wire, insert one end of the wire into the faulty button with a small flat head screwdriver, use it on the inner surface of the difficult to use key, and then insert the other end at an appropriate distance to form an N-shaped span on the faulty button. The setting method of copper wire is convenient to use and durable. This method is suitable for circuit boards made of copper clad boards with copper foil keyboards, but it is not suitable for keyboards coated with conductive adhesive, as long-term use of this method can damage keyboards coated with conductive adhesive.
8. Replacement method
Carefully cut off the conductive rubber buttons of the non removable conductive keyboard with a knife, and carefully cut off the non replaceable conductive rubber with a knife. Correct the height of conductive rubber and the magnitude of electric shock between them, and then bond them together. This method can take a long time if done manually, but glue is also important.
9. Alternative methods
It is also easier to directly replace the original conductive rubber key contact with the mobile phone's chip key or ordinary Touch switch.
