(Summary description)Decorative panel, also commonly known as panel in the decoration industry, is a decorative board made by slicing solid wood into thin wooden veneer with a thickness of about 0.2 millimeters. It is made from plywood as the substrate and undergoes adhesive technology to have a single-sided decorative effect. Decorative panels are a special form of plywood, with a layout thickness of 3 millimeters. Decorative panels are currently a type of decoration material that differs greatly from mixed oil methods. It is a material made by slicing natural or artificial wood into thin sheets of a certain thickness, adhering to the surface of plywood, and hot pressing. It is a major surface decoration material in decoration, belonging to the category of plywood. So what are some issues to pay attention to when constructing decorative panels?
1. After the decorative panels arrive at the construction site, they need to be stored indoors in a well ventilated and dry area. It is important to be careful not to place them in a damp location and be aware of moisture. Before decoration, it is necessary to use fine sandpaper to clean the dust and stains on the surface. The sanding of the decorative panel surface is good when leaving the factory. When cleaning, use soft feathers to clean the dust and dirt, and do not use tools such as sandpaper that have significant wear and tear
2. Brush the decorative panel with nitrocellulose varnish oil once every time the oil is applied. Wait for 30 to 60 minutes or more. After the paint is completely dry, use sandpaper to polish the panel, then apply a second coat of primer, then polish, and so on. Before the construction of the decorative panel, at least three primer applications should be completed, and unqualified paint should not be used.
3. After completing the construction of the decorative wooden board, two more coats of primer will be applied. The subsequent work is to apply the primer, which requires that the nail holes cannot be seen within 1 meter of sight. Some decoration companies will use the method of applying glue to the bottom layer of the veneer instead of nailing to achieve better decoration effects and reduce the process of repairing the nail holes during decoration, but the decoration cost is slightly higher.
4. After completing the putty repair work, continue to apply 5 coats of primer oil. During each coat of oil, sandpaper must be used to polish the surface, and then color and repair the local prominent nail holes.
5. After completing the construction, polish the surface with clean water 2-3 times until no obvious traces of oil brushing are visible.
6. Then apply three coats of nitrocellulose topcoat to protect the finish and improve smoothness.
7. Protect the completed veneer with paper cover. Not suitable for use in direct sunlight, damp, and dry areas, otherwise the panel may experience mold, discoloration, cracking, etc.
